Off-topic tickets for sale (sorry!)

This isn't exactly Audra related, but I have two extra tickets for Patti LuPone's concert, "The Lady with the Torch," this Sunday at 2 pm in Waltham, MA. They're row R and $32 (which is a better deal than you'll get at the box office, since the seats at the back of the house go for more than that), and they'll go to the first person (or first two people) who says they want them. So if you're interested, comment or email me (katancelt at livejournal.com), and we can work out the details (including directions if you need them--the theatre is right next to Waltham High School).

Okay, so this really has nothing to do with Audra, sorry! But she has performed with Patti many times, and a lot of you have got to be Patti fans. So please, take my tickets!

I ordered a ticket for a friend for this Sunday's performance at the Proctor's Theater (7PM) in Schenectady he is unable to go. It's row AA (first row) orchestra right. I paid 48.75 for it (including the purchase fee, ticket prices were 42.75). If anyone is interested in purchasing it, I'll sell for $30, but user would have to pay for overnight shipping or, if willing, risk priority. If interested, post here or email me at buffyactsing@earthlink.net

I finally just watched the Live from Lincoln Center performance (thank God for DVR!)

There are no words. Her voice is just...the most beautiful sound in the world. I don't care what anyone says. I can die happy knowing that such beauty exists. Her stage prescense is amazing. Her physical beauty is captivating.

I adore Audra. I really believe her voice is the most gorgeous voice I've ever heard. I can listen to her all day. Unlike her daughter. ;-)

I now remember why I made this community!

I was thinking during the first song, oh how appropriate, a song about a bass! Her husband plays the bass! (That's not him though.) And then later, hmm, why is she scatting "zo" which strangely sounds like her daughter's name? It all made sense when she explained the song was written for her!! How clever!

Anyway, there's my rant for the day!

Hey friends!

I was wondering if anyone in this community recorded Audra on a DVR like device and was going to be transferring it to DVD. I would be willing to pay anything. I'm sure there are other people here who would love a copy as well. You could make a nice chunk of change for very little work! lol.

Please email me at ktrent@gmail.com if you would be willing to send me a copy!

Audra's concert tomorrow night is being broadcast on Live From Lincoln Center--check your listings for air times. Apparently her guests include Patti LuPone and Nellie McKay, like I needed more reasons to be excited about it.
